I am at a loss

I feel like lately I need to be creative in some way, but I just don't know how. I work for a bank not just any bank but the second largest bank in the world, so I don't have much of a chance to be creative at work. In the end I am not an extremely artistic person, so I will take in someone else's creativity.  I will read, listen to good music, and look at others art work.

President Obama having to release his birth certificate so that some racist douchbag like Donald Trump can not be satisfied by it. Yes it is racist, totally, utterly, and completely racist this is only happening because President Obama is biracial. Oh the new thing is that Trump thinks there is something shady about Obama going to Columbia or Harvard. As if there is some vast conspiracy to get Obama elected to the presidency by allowing him to go to those two universities. Oh and reading between the lines of this quote is that Obama got in because of his race “I heard he was a terrible student, terrible. How does a bad student go to Columbia and then to Harvard?". But he never says it explicitly so you can't actually say it is racist. Trump is not saying that Obama got in Harvard or Columbia because of his race, no, simply he heard he was a bad student. Draw the line people bad student + biracial = affirmative action & shouldn't be president. Wow, sorry for the rant...now on to work I go

Monday, Headache, Warm, and French Dip

Today felt like that book "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day." Realizing in the grand scheme of things that this wasn't the worst day ever and that there are certainly people having worse days that I have had, and that I will have worse days, it was a bad day. My day started out with dogs walking all over me at 6am, one dog specifically couldn't sleep anymore. Dinga the blue healer from hell strikes again, truly a sweet but dumb and brutish dog, who has no control over herself. So I take a shower and discover a pimple but not a normal pimple, one of those that you can't pop they just hurt like hell. I get in the car and drive to work some solace I get to listen to The History of Rome podcast one of my favorite things about Monday. Yes, I am that big of a dork that one of the highlights of my week is a history podcast. I get to work and have to listen to a mind numbing MIND NUMBING! conference call by then end of the call I have a headache. This headache will stay with me all day. My new division manager comes to work and I am not in the mood for managery things they are just so annoying. The acting like you care, and like you are crazy over the top I LOVE THIS PLACE when frankly I really don't. Then lots of customers lots of customer and more customers. Headache, more headache.

Now I am home waiting for my headache to go away, I do have to say that Todd made a rocking awesome french dip from the rocking awesome prime rib he made yesterday. My god it was good so good.  So I guess not a bad day after all.

Speaking of food this weekend was a food riot. Todd, I, and some friends went to the Green Well for his birthday I had a Oberon honey glazed Cornish Hen with a vegetable stuffing I never take pictures of my food because it feels pretentious but here is a picture.

.  Todd also made the best prime rib I have ever had he cocooned it in a concoction of salt and flower that he had to break off with a hammer it was crazy I forgot to take a picture after the shell was off.

I Think My Brain is Empty

Today was not a great day...
I did not sleep very well...work was super boring...ran maybe the worst run of my life...terrible cramping in my calf and leg about 2 miles into a 4.5 mile run...oh and guess what I gained 2lbs in a week...tomorrow is an other day...

The Computer Games Are Not Out to Get Me

Have you ever had the feeling whilst playing a computer game that the game is purposely changing the rules or cheating so that you cannot win? I just had that feeling and to my horror I just stated this piece of crazy out loud to Todd. Now, in my defense...OK I have no defense. I have decided that it is time to put the game down, step away and do something else.

I will now go on my rant about pundits and politics. Well, well, Messrs. Obama and Beohner aren't you proud of yourself you have successfully not shutting down the government. Although it did take you literally to 11th hour to not shut down the federal government. I am not mad at the two of you because you played chicken with our government like two bullies on a playground. No it is not that Mr Beohner is apparently the bitch of the "tea party" and decided now was the time to de-fund every thing that the Republican and crazy right-wingers don't like, Public Broadcasting, Planned Parenthood etc. Or that Mr. Obama doesn't want to actually step into the fray and cut some spending or god forbid raise taxes to pay for our government. No, No, it is none of these things it is that I had to for two weeks listen to every idiot on the so called news channels talk about what the other side is doing wrong without thought or insight. I am sorry these people do not actually care about what they say if Obama wanted to cut 60 billion dollars and Beohner wanted only 32 billion the pundits would switch sides.
Sort of like Newt Gingrich's ever changing view of our newest war in Libya, Obama goes in guns blazing Newt is against it, Obama doesn't do anything Newt is against that. Wait Newt you can't actually be against non action and action at the same time. I will be honest I don't think that we should be just bombing Libya I am sorry it is a half commitment. If you are going to commit to military action make the commitment and actually protect people. Doesn't anyone remember Bosnia I am sorry a no fly zone did not stop anyone from being killed en masse. Commit to it or don't just don't take half measures.

Oh and by the way the federal deficit is not the worst thing that has ever happened to the United States. The U.S. is not going to collapse because of the federal deficit. DON'T get me wrong it is not a great thing but we have survived a war for independence, a civil war, 2 world wars, a great depression, and numerous natural disasters, we can survive a federal deficit. Oh by the way I am pretty sure no one has ever died because of federal deficit.

The Land of Unintended Consequences and Vague Abbreviations

The other day I blogged something to the effect that my bf's political ranting were totally insane. So my bf (best friend, Erin) who actually reads my blog took this to mean her. Alas, she deleted a post that I didn't even get to read. Which, makes me sad in my heart because I LOVE HER POLITICAL RANTINGS! They always get me thinking and sometimes send me on a similar or quite divergent rant myself. I do have to say that I love that sometimes we cock our heads and raise an eyebrow at the other and state that we think the words that just came out of the others head are completely insane.

 Now, my bf (boyfriend) who does not read my blog was the actual target of my statement. He is simply insane but I love him and rants at the tv which drives me a little crazy. I have decided to try to tamp down my reaction to that and let him do his crazy rant. This however may mean that I need to see my bf (best friend) more often so that I don't feel like I am living in the land of crazy. 

Now I must get ready for work today on a Saturday. Yea for me!

Jane Austen...You Will Not Beat Me...

So I am still slogging through Pride and Prejudice and let me just say it is a fight. I feel like I should love this novel, girl who is too smart for her ownl good and kind of whiny (check), boy is who is the same as girl just somewhat socially inept (check), girl who is indignant to all the boy is but is still falling in love with him (check), Bidget Jones' Dairies (check) oh sorry no check.  Yet it is soooooooooooo BRITISH and VICTORIAN I just can't stand it. A read that should have taken me a couple of weeks has dragged on for 2 months and I am only half way through. But I promise you this Jane Austen will loose this fight I will read this all the way to the end.

In other news I feel like if Donald Trump runs for president I am leaving this country...Seriously...leaving for Canada, Mexico, Europe I will officially be an ex-pat.

I must work but truly this week has been super boring and I just can't get it in me to get ready this morning.

I will say that I think that my ranty bf though wonderful in so many ways is totally insane when it comes to politics.
